Peter Fedichev did a study on the Influence of Nearly Resonant Light on Dispersion Length in Low Temperature Atomic Gases.
Dr. Fedichev developed the idea of optically manipulating the dispersion length a in low temperature atomic gases. The calculations show the feasibility of optical manipulations of trapped Bose condensate through a light-induced change in the mean field interaction between atoms.
